Summary
We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team at Cypress Creek Veterinary Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and management of our kennel facilities, ensuring a safe and clean environment for our furry patients. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our mission to provide outstanding veterinary services.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kennel area.
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, walking, and exercising.
Assist with animal restraint during examinations and treatments.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals in the kennel.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and conditions.
Support veterinary staff with various tasks as needed, including heavy lifting of animals or equipment.
Requirements
Experience in animal handling or a related field is preferred.
Strong understanding of animal behavior and care practices.
Ability to lift heavy objects and manage physically demanding tasks.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
