This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your pet care skills, and contribute to a compassionate community dedicated to animal welfare.DutiesProvide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercising, and administering medications as directedMaintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and organizationHandle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure their comfort and safetyAssist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to promote physical activity and mental stimulationSupport veterinary staff with basic animal care tasks such as grooming, pet grooming, and behavior monitoringEnsure compliance with health and safety protocols by sanitizing equipment and workspaces thoroughlyEngage with pet owners professionally by answering questions, providing updates on their pets’ well-being, and offering excellent customer serviceQualificationsPrevious experience working with animals in veterinary clinics, pet boarding facilities, or kennels is highly preferredKnowledge of veterinary assistant or veterinary technician procedures is a strong plusExperience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management is advantageousAbility to perform heavy lifting and team lifting when handling large or multiple animals safelyStrong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint techniquesExcellent communication skills combined with a friendly attitude toward clients and team membersWillingness to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while caring for animals outside the facilityThis role is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
