Kennel Attendant Jobs in Greensboro, NC at Lawndale Veterinary Hospital
Duties:
– Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and cleaning
– Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the veterinary staff
– Assist with animal restraint and handling during examinations and procedures
– Administer medications as directed by the veterinary staff
– Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing animals
– Provide exercise and socialization for animals in the kennel
– Assist with customer service tasks such as answering phone calls and scheduling appointments
Skills:
– Experience working in a kennel or veterinary setting is preferred
– Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some animals may require assistance
– Strong animal handling skills, including knowledge of proper restraint techniques
– Knowledge of basic pet grooming techniques is a plus
– Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and provide assistance
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
– Strong attention to detail to ensure the health and safety of animals in the kennel
