Kennel Assistant
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising
– Clean kennels and maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the animals
– Administer medications as directed
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Provide socialization for animals
– Assist with intake processes, including completing necessary paperwork
– Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service
Experience:
– Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required
– Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
– Knowledge of basic animal care and behavior
– Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
