Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for animals in our facility, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess skills that enhance the experience of both pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, nail trims, and exercising dogs and other pets.
Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing cages, play areas, and equipment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures as needed.
Support pet owners by providing excellent customer service and answering questions about their pets’ care.
Help with the administration of medications as directed by veterinary staff.
Participate in training sessions for dogs when required, ensuring positive reinforcement techniques are used.
Engage in pet sitting duties when necessary to provide additional support to clients.
Experience
Previous experience as a Kennel Assistant or Kennel Technician is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills in Dog Handling and Animal Restraint are highly valued.
or Dog Training is a plus.
A background in Customer Service is beneficial for interacting effectively with pet owners.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care is essential.

Pay: $15.00 – $15.50 per hour
