Duties

  • Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and cleaning routines
  • Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their safety and comfort
  • Monitor animals’ health and behavior, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management promptly
  • Support outdoor activities such as walking dogs or supervising playtime in secure outdoor spaces

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other facilities to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management or veterinary staff.
  • Assist with customer service duties, including greeting pet owners and addressing their inquiries.
  • Handle animals safely and effectively, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.
  • Support pet grooming and bathing as needed, ensuring pets are comfortable during the process.
  • Participate in training sessions for dogs as directed by management.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks related to animal care and facility maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
  • Experience in dog training or veterinary assistance is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Experience with kennel maintenance, sanitization protocols, and pet care facility procedures
  • Outdoor work experience preferred for supervising outdoor activities or cleaning outdoor areas
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
