Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal care and medical procedures, providing essential support to veterinarians in the diagnosis and treatment of various animals. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays.
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Monitor animal patients’ vital signs and overall health during procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records for all animals treated.
Ensure a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and proper sanitation protocols.
Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and training techniques.
Provide support in kennel management and animal handling as needed.

Requirements

Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques and animal catheterization.
Experience with dog training, animal restraint, and handling various species including equine is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if necessary.

Pay: $23.22 – $24.87 per hour
