Important Schedule information:
We are seeking a person to work Weekends and Holidays, as well as afternoons 3 days a week. (Weekdays can be flexible but Weekends are mandatory. Ideal schedule would be 1pm-5pm M, Thu, Fr and Weekends would be split shift, Sat and Sun would be 7:30a – 10am and then again 3pm-5pm. Time adjustments could be accommodated within reason.

Duties
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, exercise, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitation and disinfecting procedures
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure their well-being and staff safety
- Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to promote healthy behavior and comfort
- Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness, reporting concerns promptly to veterinary professionals
Skills
- Pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling experience demonstrates your ability to work confidently with diverse animals
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and pet grooming practices ensures safe handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning or equipment setup is essential
- Outdoor work experience helps in managing pets during outdoor activities or yard duties
- Familiarity with animal behavior principles enhances your ability to assess and respond appropriately to different animals’ needs
