We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pets, strong customer service skills, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for pets and staff. We are located at 721 Fair Oaks Ave, South Pasadena. The entrance is located through the back parking lot, up the stairs.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding and bathing
Maintain cleanliness in kennels, play areas, and other facilities.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns.
Ensure all pet supplies are stocked and organized.
Provide excellent customer service.
Assist in heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning large areas
Qualifications
Familiarity with kennel operations and pet grooming is advantageous.
Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (up to 50 pounds).
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
