The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with dogs and have an excellent attitude towards them. This position requires cross-training in all departments including customer service
Duties
The dog daycare attendant is responsible for providing a safe, clean and comfortable environment for dogs. This includes cleaning the doggies cages, feeding them, grooming them and taking care of all other duties as assigned by management in accordance with company policies and procedures. Must have an ability to work independently under pressure.
Hours: 8-16 Weekends and Holidays.
Schedule:
Saturday is a split shift 7am-11am and 2-6pm
Sunday- 2-6pm
Detailed job duties include:
Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs.
Maintain an environment that is safe, clean and comfortable for pets to play.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility including cleaning dog beds, bathing, feeding, etc.
Clean up after animals daily by hand or using appropriate equipment such as washing machines/cleaners.
Keep the housekeeping area neat and orderly while keeping supplies organized at all times.
Bath services include brush out, drying, nail trim and ear cleaning.
Take pictures and videos of the pups for our social media accounts.
Qualification
Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Previous experience working with animals
Ability to handle dogs of different breeds and temperaments.
A passion for animals and their well-being.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Ability to work independently.
Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job (standing, walking, lifting, etc.).
Must be 18 years of age
Ability and willingness for continuous learning
Excellent customer service skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 16 per week
