We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant/Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our furry friends. This position requires a strong love for animals and the ability to handle them with care and patience. If you have experience in animal handling, veterinary assistance, or pet grooming, we encourage you to apply. Pay for experience is extremely competitive.
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
– Clean kennels and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
– Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the veterinary staff
– Assist with administering medications as directed by veterinarians
– Handle animals with care and ensure their safety at all times
– Assist with bathing, grooming, and basic training of animals
– Maintain accurate records of animal care and behavior
Experience a plus but we will train the right person.
As you learn you will move up to a Veterinary Assistant. We will help you become certified. This opportunity will teach you vaccines, why we vaccinate, how to vaccinate, how to secure various breeds, toenail trimming, drawing blood, ear cytology’s, assisting in surgery, assisting owners, and so much more. Pay will go increase as your skills and certifications increase.

Hours are Monday thru Thursday 7:00am till 7:00pm or until we are done with patients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.50 – $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
