We are looking to add a Kennel tech/assistant to our team for a ***part time*** position, 12-25 hours/week. ***Experience required***
Available shifts Monday 1:30p-6:00p, Wednesday 1:30p-6p, and one or two weekends a month. ***all employees are required to work 1-2 holiday kennels a year
Must be able to do physical work and lift 40-50+ pounds and have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
Providing comfort and safety to animals.
Assisting with procedures and treatments.
Communicating with clients.
Maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Feeding, bathing, and exercising animals.
Assisting veterinarians and vet technicians
Cleaning and sterilizing kennels, operating rooms, examining rooms, cages, and surgical equipment.
Setting up test and running diagnostic equipment
Looking for an outgoing team player who has an interest in the medical field and compassion for animals.

Qualifications
– Veterinary experience
– Dog handling skills
– Animal handling experience
– Knowledge of veterinary terminology
– Proficiency in animal care and restraint
– Ability to perform animal catheterization
– Previous experience in pet care or as a veterinary assistant
– Kennel experience
– Familiarity with animal husbandry and anatomy
– Aseptic technique knowledge
– Laboratory experience in a veterinary setting
