Kennel Assistant (Seasonal Position) Jobs in Woodbridge, VA at Old Bridge Veterinary Hospital
Old Bridge Veterinary Hospital is looking for kennel assistants to join our team for the summer season! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. This position requires nights, weekends, and holiday availability.
Responsibilities
Providing general care for animals including walking, feeding, medicating, and bathing
Interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner
Maintaining detailed records of animal feedings, treatments, and other important updates
Participating in play activities and exercise routines with the animals
Ensuring cleanliness by promptly cleaning up after the animals
Keeping the kennel facility and outdoor environment clean and conducive to the animal’s health and well-being; including sweeping, mopping, and yard maintenance.
Qualifications
Must be punctual and dependable with reliable transportation
Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and complete tasks proficiently
Ability to lift 50lbs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.41 – $15.00 per hour
