Full Job Description
– Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel
– Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their individual needs
– Clean kennels and maintain a clean and sanitary environment for the animals
– Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Assist with basic veterinary procedures under the supervision of a veterinarian or veterinary technician
– Provide socialization and playtime for animals to ensure their well-being
– Maintain accurate records of animal care and observations

– Previous experience in animal care, such as pet grooming, veterinary assistant, pet sitting, or similar roles preferred
– Knowledge of animal handling techniques and basic animal care principles
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
– Ability to follow instructions and adhere to protocols for animal care and safety
– Physical stamina to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
– Flexibility to work weekends, holidays
