Kennel Assistant REQUIREMENTS Must have experience working with dogs or other animals(training, farming, kennel, veterinary) Applicant must live within 20 minutes from location. Caring and personable with ability to work well with people and animals. Solid understanding of general animal care, feeding and hygiene requirements. Ability to work 8/10 hour shifts and lift 50+ lbs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES to provide quality care of dogs and completion of daily responsibilities. Helps with the feeding, running and medicating dogs while ensuring a safe and humane kennel environment. Assists with canine health care and routine procedures as needed. Grooming and brushing as necessary. Must be comfortable and willing to work with large dogs in a kennel, on leash, and in variety of environments. Must be able to work shifts as assigned including weekend and holidays. This position requires adherence to all applicable safety and health policies and procedures.
