APAWS Veterinary Hospital is looking to add an additional kennel assistant to our team! We are looking for someone that has experience in a kennel setting and is willing and able to keep up in a fast paced environment. Applicants must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, multitask, have a good attention to detail and keep a positive attitude. This position will require weekend and holiday hours that are rotated with other team members.
Kennel Assistant Duties:
Maintain a clean work environment
Maintain hospital grounds
Sweep/vacuum/mop floors
Clean kennels/Walk dogs
Clean up animal waste/bodily fluids
Feed/Medicate animals
Wash and dry laundry (kennel and surgical)
Wash dishes
Follow written and verbal directions for proper animal care
Basic animal handling skills (dog and cat)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
