Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our at-home kennel and farm. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide excellent service to both pets and their owners. As a Kennel Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of animals in our care, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting with various tasks related to pet care.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures.
Handle dogs of various breeds and temperaments safely and effectively.
Skills
Experience in pet grooming is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in dog handling skills, including understanding canine behavior.
Familiarity with kennel operations and pet care best practices.
Strong animal handling skills that demonstrate compassion and respect for all creatures.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
