Kennel Assistant Jobs in Lynnwood, WA at Martha Lake Vet Clinic
We’re looking for Animal Care and Kennel Attendants to join our growing veterinary care teams at our AAHA-Accredited Practice. You’ll work side by side with our veterinarians and technicians, caring for patients and keeping the hospital clean, stocked, and running smoothly.
Schedule
- Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 7 PM, Mon–Fri; 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Sat
- Job Type: Full-time
- Every other Saturday availability required
Responsibilities and Duties
- Care for hospitalized and boarding patients under veterinary supervision — feeding, walking, and monitoring comfort
- Clean and maintain cages, kennels, runs, exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Maintain equipment and prepare surgical packs
- Assist with patient restraint and procedures as directed by the veterinarian
- Support the medical team wherever an extra set of hands is needed
- Stand for most of a shift, lift pets and objects up to 40 pounds without assistance, and help lift patients weighing more than 40 pounds
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be available on Saturdays
- Comfortable handling animals that may be scared, unwell or in pain
- Reliable and punctual — the team plans the day around you
- Calm in a busy room and happy to jump in without being asked
- No veterinary experience necessary; training provided
