Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kennel Assistant to join our team at DGH. This position involves assisting with the care of dogs in our facility, maintaining a clean environment, and ensuring that the dogs’ needs are met.
Responsibilities:
Assist with taking dogs in and out of their designated areas for exercise and bathroom breaks.
Clean and sanitize dog runs, kennels, and other areas as needed to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Ensure that all dogs are fed, watered, and properly cared for throughout the day.
Monitor the dogs for any signs of illness, discomfort, or behavioral issues and report to management.
Assist with Kennel Technician tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Experience working with animals, especially dogs, is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
Must be able to lift and move large dogs and supplies.
Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
