Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Our animal care facility is looking for an animal lover to join our kennel management team as a PT Kennel Assistant. To qualify for this role, you must have a positive attitude and a genuine love for dogs of all shapes and sizes. In this role, you will have to be able to work with dogs weighing over 100 lbs. Having previous experience at an animal shelter is a huge positive, but we will provide training to the right candidate.
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG TEST
MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 100 LBS.
Part-Time Hours are 8am to 1pm (5 days a week)
Kennel Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
*Clean and disinfect the kennels according to our Standard Operating Procedures *Provide animals with food and water according to our feeding schedule *Clean public walk areas *Walk and play with the animals *Help with bathing and grooming tasks
Kennel Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
*High school diploma or GED certificate *Experience providing animal care (highly preferred) *Must love dogs *A flexible schedule *Physical ability to work with dogs of various breeds and sizes
Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $15.00/hour.
