Kennel Assistant Jobs in Spring, TX at Great Pyrenees Rescue Society
We are searching for an attentive, doting kennel assistant to oversee the well-being of the dogs in our care.
Your responsibilities would include providing the animals with food and water, administer medication, and cleaning kennels.
You should be able to attend to the dogs in a way that is tailored to their physical and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring that the dogs have ample, fresh food and water
Let dogs that are housed in kennels without outside access out to relieve themselves
Cleaning animal waste, hair, and other debris from the kennels
Disposing of trash
Grooming, playing with and administering treatment to dogs as instructed by director
Report significant physical and behavioral changes in dogs to director
Help prepare for monthly transport of dogs
Light laundry (towels, bedding, etc)
Requirements
A passion for animal welfare
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Physically fit & agile, capacity to lift up to 50 lbs unaided
Available to work during mornings / evenings / on weekends, and on public holidays, if required
Previous experience caring for animals will be advantageous
