Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, treatment areas, and equipment to promote optimal animal health and hygiene
- Assist with animal handling, restraint, and behavior management during examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Help with record keeping by accurately documenting animal treatments, behaviors, and medical histories using veterinary terminology
- Provide pet care including feeding, walking, grooming, and monitoring for signs of distress or illness
- Support laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing under supervision
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions and updates on their animals’ welfare
Experience (preferred, but not required)
- Previous kennel or animal shelter experience demonstrating strong animal husbandry skills
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory techniques is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care routines
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic setting with record keeping and client communication responsibilities
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly to ensure safety for both animals and staff
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques during medical procedures such as catheterization or medication administration

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
