Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Kennel Assistant. The Kennel Assistant will perform daily care tasks for animals, including feeding, cleaning enclosures, administering basic care, observing animal behavior for any signs of illness, and preforming medicated and basic bath packages. Responsibilities also include handling animals safely during walks or transfers, maintaining cleanliness of the facility (including laundry and sanitation tasks), and providing exemplary communication with the team and pet owners when needed.
Qualifications
- Animal Care, Pet Care, and basic knowledge of Animal Handling skills
- Ability to manage Laundry and maintain cleanliness of animal care areas
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with team members and, when necessary, clients
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, or prolonged periods of standing
- A passion for working with animals and commitment to their safety and well-being
