Role Description This full-time Junior Industrial Psychologist role is based in Hartebeespoort with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves assisting with psychological assessments, compiling reports, and supporting senior psychologists in delivering organizational diagnostics and interventions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting research, collecting and analyzing data on employee engagement and performance, and helping design training, development, and wellness programs. The Junior Industrial Psychologist will participate in feedback sessions, provide basic counseling support under supervision, and contribute to projects that enhance workplace culture and mental health. The role also requires accurate documentation, adherence to professional ethics, and regular collaboration with internal teams and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Psychology with a focus on industrial/organizational applications.
  • Knowledge of Medicine and Mental Health concepts relevant to workplace wellbeing and employee support.
  • Skills in Counseling and supportive communication, preferably in supervised or structured environments.
  • Ability to administer, score, and interpret Psychological Assessment tools under appropriate supervision.
  • Relevant degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field; eligibility or registration with the appropriate professional body is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting findings to non-specialist audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills with attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusive practice.
