North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). The PCC is the leading example of outstanding client service for visitors entering our hospital.
PCCs greet clients and patients, check clients in and out, schedule appointments, room patients for appointments, and handle phone calls. They manage communications and maintain a smooth flow of operations within the hospital.
PCCs ensure clients receive a positive, memorable experience while visiting North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. Candidates will be engaging, energetic, compassionate, and have a positive attitude. Being a team player is critical. General skills in administrative duties and computers are an asset. Veterinary experience is a plus.
A typical day for our team of PCCs:
Offer outstanding client service. Get to know our clients and their pets.
Manage hospital communications: phones, fax, and email
Maintain a safe and clean work space
Educate clients on vaccines and preventatives
Schedule appointments
Check clients in and out (handling client finances)
Rooming appointments
Medical record management
General administrative and computer tasks
Qualifications
Administrative support and office experience.
Proficient in medical records management and client service.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and electronic record systems. (We will be using ezyVet.)
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
Experience with multi-line phone systems and clerical tasks.
Veterinary experience is preferred to enhance patient care.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 7am to 8pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm, Sundays from 12pm to 4pm. Weekend availability is required.

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
