We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for veterinarians and technicians.
Handle incoming phone calls, providing information about services and addressing client inquiries.
Process patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Assist with medical collection duties, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Provide basic information on veterinary terminology to clients as needed.
Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Utilize animal restraint techniques when necessary to assist in examinations or treatments.
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
A passion for animal care and welfare is essential.
