Job Summary
Metropolitan Veterinary Academy is seeking a passionate Full-time and Adjunct Instructors to teach in our academy. This role is ideal for an experienced veterinary professional who enjoys mentoring students and sharing hands-on knowledge.
You’ll help prepare students for real-world veterinary careers through engaging instruction, skills training, and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Teach veterinary courses (lecture + hands-on labs)
- Cover topics like animal care, medical terminology, and basic procedures
- Supervise students during labs and clinical/externship experiences
- Evaluate student performance (quizzes, exams, skills assessments)
- Provide feedback and academic support
- Maintain attendance and grade records
- Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant learning environment
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
- CVT, LVT, or RVT credential OR strong hands-on veterinary experience
- 3+ years working in a veterinary clinic or similar setting
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience
Schedule & Work Environment
- Part-time available, flexible scheduling based on course needs
- Evening and/or weekend classes may be required
- Classroom and lab setting
- Some physical activity (lifting, animal handling, assisting with procedures)
Wage
- Based on Experience
- $24.00-25.00/hr
