Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Imports and Exports Operations Officer based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role involves managing import and export operations, ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations, and preparing export documentation. Additional responsibilities include coordinating shipments, facilitating customs clearance, collaborating with sales teams to maintain client satisfaction, and providing support across the supply chain process.
Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, or import operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field is preferred
• Practical knowledge of customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Understanding of international trade and logistics processes.
• Experience with customs systems and documentation.
• Strong knowledge and experience in Export Documentation and Import Export operations
• Expertise in International Business and navigating global trade regulations
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with East African trade regulations and cross-border logistics is a plus
• Procurement experience alone will not be considered
