Right now, we are growing and moving away from paper records to simple, modern digital systems across our Mwanza City offices and our school campus in Ilemela.
Role Description
The Group HR Manager is a full-time, on-site role in Mwanza. You will handle all HR work for the school, the garment factory, and our commercial business. You will report to executive leadership and manage everything from hiring and onboarding to staff reviews and offboarding. Key duties include running monthly payroll accurately and handling all legal filings on time, including NSSF, PAYE, WCF, and OSHA. Your main project will be picking and setting up digital HR and payroll software so we can stop using manual paperwork. You will also recruit for key teaching and factory roles so work does not stall, handle staff complaints and parent disputes calmly, set simple work goals for employees, and keep all staff records safe and private.
Qualifications
- Degree in HR, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of real HR experience as a team lead or manager, preferably dealing with more than one office or business line
- Clear understanding of Tanzanian labor laws, staff contracts, and legal work requirements
- Hands-on experience using digital HR apps, hiring software, and payroll systems
- Good communication skills with the ability to solve staff disputes fairly
- Must be able to move regularly between our Mwanza City office and our Ilemela campus
