Role Description The HR Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kano, responsible for supporting and managing day-to-day human resources operations at Bridge Connect. This role includes developing and implementing HR policies, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring compliance with organizational and legal requirements. The HR Officer will handle employee relations, support recruitment and onboarding processes, and assist in developing clear job descriptions and performance management frameworks. The role also involves providing guidance to staff on HR procedures, coordinating trainings, and contributing to a positive, inclusive work culture aligned with the organization’s mission.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management to oversee daily HR operations and support organizational goals.
  • Candidates should possess skills in HR Policies and Job Description Development to ensure clear frameworks, compliant procedures, and structured roles.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Employee Relations to manage conflict resolution, staff engagement, and a collaborative workplace environment.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field are preferred.
  • Additional skills in recruitment and onboarding, performance management, data-driven HR reporting, and familiarity with labor regulations will be beneficial.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, work in a multicultural environment, and demonstrate commitment to gender equality and youth empowerment is highly valued.
