About This Role
Tempkers Limited—an HR consulting and executive search firm—is recruiting an HR Manager on behalf of its client, a premier commercial enterprise based in Mabushi, Abuja (FCT).
This strategic people-leadership position manages end-to-end human resource operations, organizational policy development, talent acquisition, performance appraisal frameworks, labor law compliance, and employee relations to build an accountable, high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Strategy & Policy Governance: Design and enforce HR policies, employee handbooks, and operational SOPs; advise executive leadership on workforce planning, risk management, and organizational design.
- Performance Management Frameworks: Implement structured performance management systems, set departmental KPIs, manage Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and support career progression pathways.
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee workforce planning, executive candidate sourcing, interview panels, background verification, and structured onboarding protocols.
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Serve as the primary adviser on grievance handling, workplace conflict resolution, disciplinary proceedings, and labor law compliance.
- HR Operations & Workforce Analytics: Manage payroll inputs, attendance logs, leave administration, and HRIS databases; present monthly workforce metrics dashboards (turnover, retention, productivity) to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Affiliations: Professional certification (CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI) is a distinct advantage.
- Technical & System Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and HRIS/payroll software applications.
- Core Competencies: Strategic HR leadership, performance management architecture, labor law compliance, grievance handling, workforce analytics, and executive presentation skills.
