West Side Animal Clinic is seeking a Hospital Manager to join our team! This role is ideal for assertive candidates with a strong background in people management who embrace a servant leadership approach. We’re looking for someone passionate about building meaningful connections with clients and fostering the growth and collaboration of our outstanding team.
In partnership with our Medical Director, the Hospital Manager will lead people and oversee business operations to ensure the hospital’s success. While the role is primarily administrative, the ideal candidate will actively engage in the hospital’s day-to-day operations and provide hands-on support to the team when needed.
Key Responsibilities Include:
People Management
Performance management and coaching, team accountability
Foster team growth and partnership
Oversee training and development
Complaint resolution
Financial & Operations Management
Maximize and optimize efficiencies to meet demand
Payroll, inventory and budget management
Ensure safety protocols are followed
Monitor hospital flow and oversee daily operations
Maintain hospital and team schedules
Marketing and community outreach
Benefits and compensation:
Compensation package: $55,000 – 65,000/year (based on experience)
Quarterly bonus potential
$2,000 hiring bonus package for RVTs and CVPMs
CE allowance: $1,000 annual allocation for RVTs and CVPMs

Qualifications:
3+ years of people leadership. Veterinary experience or CVPM a plus!
Proven success in delivering employee evaluations, team coaching, developing training programs, mediating conflict, and de-escalating clients in emotionally charged situations
Experience managing the performance, development, and growth of teams
Demonstrates high emotional intelligence and strong conflict management skills
Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills
Financial acumen and experience managing budgets such as revenue and payroll (preferred)
Self-directed and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team
