Role Description The Health Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in 2nd District, responsible for supporting and monitoring health and safety standards across the facility. This role includes conducting regular workplace inspections, identifying health risks, and ensuring compliance with occupational and workplace safety regulations. The Health Officer will coordinate health awareness campaigns, trainings, and preventive programs for team members, including first aid, hygiene, and emergency response. They will collaborate with management, supervisors, and external health agencies to address health issues, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions. The role also involves maintaining accurate health and safety records, preparing reports, and recommending improvements to health, safety, and welfare practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Health and Workplace Safety, with the ability to assess risks and implement preventive measures.
- Knowledge of Community Health principles, including health promotion, awareness programs, and preventive care initiatives.
- Experience or familiarity with Construction Safety or industrial safety practices in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Effective Communication skills to train team members, conduct briefings, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, Safety Management, or a related field.
- Experience in a factory, industrial, or large-scale operations setting is preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply local health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Strong attention to detail, record-keeping skills, and the ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies.
