Head of Operations
Our *client* is looking to recruit an exceptional Head of Operations to join their team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this strategic leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, execution discipline, and performance across the branch network.
This is not an administrative role. We are looking for a highly driven leader who can translate strategy into results, build a culture of accountability, and ensure the business executes consistently without requiring constant CEO intervention.
Key Performance Areas
– Drive collections performance to ensure customers repay their loans on time.
– Maintain a healthy loan portfolio by minimizing overdue loans and reducing defaults.
– Improve loan repayment performance through proactive branch supervision and recovery strategies.
– Drive branch productivity, customer growth, and profitability.
– Ensure compliance with company policies, lending procedures, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
– Lead, coach, and hold Regional Managers and Branch Managers accountable for performance.
– Build a strong performance culture through structured reviews, scorecards, and timely interventions.
– Foster collaboration across Operations, Credit, Finance, HR, Compliance, IT, and Customer Service teams.
Requirements
– Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operations leadership role.
– Proven experience managing multi-branch operations, preferably within the financial services or microfinance sector.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage performance through data and business metrics.
– Excellent execution, leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
– Decisive, disciplined, and results-oriented.
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Salary
KSh 110,000 – KSh 120,000
