Bushtops is seeking an exceptional Head of Maintenance to lead the engineering and maintenance function at our award-winning luxury safari camps in the Serengeti.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced professional who thrives in remote environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and takes pride in maintaining facilities to the highest international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and mentor the maintenance team across the properties.
– Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes.
– Maintain electrical, plumbing, water, sewage, HVAC, solar, generator and mechanical systems.
– Oversee guest tent and staff facility maintenance.
– Manage workshop operations
– Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
– Work closely with Operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience through seamless facility performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
– Proven leadership experience in luxury hospitality, safari lodges, hotels or remote camps.
– Strong technical background in electrical and mechanical systems.
– Experience managing generators, solar power systems and water treatment plants is highly desirable.
– Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
– Relevant engineering or technical qualification.
