Role Description:
The Head of Finance & Accounts is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Lahore, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and accounting activities of SGIL. This role includes managing financial reporting, preparing and reviewing financial statements, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies. The Head of Finance & Accounts will lead the finance and accounts team, establish robust internal controls, supervise cash flow management, and support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and performance monitoring. The role also involves partnering with senior management on long-term financial planning, optimising costs and resources, managing relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies, and implementing systems and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and transparency.

The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong technical finance capability with commercial judgment and strategic thinking and will work closely with the CEO, Senior Management, Board, auditors, banks, advisers and operational departments
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Head and develop the complete Finance & Accounts Department, including team structure, responsibilities, KPIs and capability development.
- Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, financial statements and management reporting.
- Ensure strong accounting controls, reconciliations, documentation and financial discipline.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning and financial performance analysis.
- Develop and strengthen manufacturing/product costing, including yield, wastage, raw-material consumption and production-cost analysis.
- Manage treasury, banking, financing facilities, liquidity and working capital.
- Oversee taxation and statutory financial matters in coordination with professional advisers.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
- Strengthen SAP/ERP-based financial controls, reporting and integration with Production, Inventory, Procurement and Sales.
- Analyze product, customer and business profitability and support commercial decision-making.
- Evaluate CAPEX, investments and expansion opportunities through financial modelling, ROI, NPV/IRR and other appropriate analysis.
- Support financing strategy, capital structure and major strategic/business transactions.
- Identify and manage key financial risks.
- Provide Senior Management with financial forecasts, dashboards, scenario analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Build a professional, scalable and performance-driven Finance & Accounts function.
Qualifications & Experience
- CA, ACCA, CMA/ACMA/ICMA or equivalent professional finance qualification preferred.
- Preferably 5+ years of progressive Finance & Accounts experience.
- Manufacturing or process-industry experience strongly preferred.
- Strong exposure to financial reporting, costing, budgeting, taxation, treasury, audit and internal controls.
- Experience leading and developing a Finance & Accounts team.
- Strong ERP experience; SAP Business One exposure will be an advantage.
- Corporate finance, investment appraisal and financial modelling experience will be an advantage.
