Executive Search Solutions (ESS), part of Inizio Engage, has been exclusively mandated to appoint a Head of Europe Commercial Partnerships & VET Business for a leading international healthcare organisation with ambitious growth plans across Europe’s distributor-led, hybrid, B2B and Veterinary markets.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a strategically important European business, driving growth, partner performance, pricing excellence and commercial execution across a diverse portfolio of international markets and channels.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the SVP Commercial International, you will lead a strategically important European business spanning distributor-led, hybrid, B2B and Veterinary markets. With the Veterinary business accounting for approximately 50% of total revenues, this role combines responsibility for a substantial animal health operation with the development and optimisation of Europe’s broader commercial partnership model.

The organisation is seeking a commercially driven leader who can transform a collection of partner markets into a highly visible, performance-led growth platform.

You will:

  • Own the commercial performance of the European Commercial Partnerships and Veterinary business.
  • Drive sustainable growth across distributor, hybrid and partner-led markets.
  • Establish robust partner governance and performance management frameworks.
  • Improve pricing discipline, contract effectiveness and margin protection.
  • Increase forecast accuracy, demand visibility and commercial accountability.
  • Identify and unlock new growth opportunities across markets, channels and product portfolios.
  • Act as the senior commercial leader for indirect and partnership markets across Europe.

Your Impact

You will:

  • Own revenue, growth, forecast and margin performance across the region.
  • Implement structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), partner scorecards and performance management processes.
  • Strengthen distributor and partner accountability through clear KPIs and measurable action plans.
  • Lead contract reviews, commercial negotiations and partner optimisation initiatives.
  • Ensure pricing governance and discount discipline across all markets.
  • Improve visibility and oversight of partner-led tenders, bids and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Legal and Commercial Operations.
  • Evaluate, upgrade and, where necessary, restructure partner relationships to maximise performance.
  • Build a data-driven culture focused on sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Your Profile

We are looking for an accomplished commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and thrives in complex international environments.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience managing distributor-led, B2B, hybrid or partnership-based business models.
  • Strong commercial expertise across pricing, contracts, customer management and channel strategy.
  • A proven track record of driving growth and improving business performance across multiple markets.
  • Experience within pharmaceuticals, specialty care, hospital markets, medtech, animal health or other commercially complex healthcare environments.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound understanding of forecasting, demand planning and margin management.
  • The confidence to challenge underperformance and lead change.
  • A structured, analytical and commercially pragmatic leadership style.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages would be advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally across Europe.

Flexible – Europe

This role can be based anywhere in Europe, with regular travel across key partner and distributor markets.
