Groundskeeper Jobs in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA at Encore Village
Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a part-time Groundskeeper. This position requires working two days per week and will be responsible for creating a positive first impression for current residents as well as prospective residents by maintaining the grounds of Encore Village of Schaumburg.
Responsibilities:
Maintain grounds and flowerbeds, including mulching, weeding, planting flowers, cultivating, edging, watering, and performing seasonal cleanup.
Perform general cleaning of grounds by picking up papers and trash, and cleaning parking lots, curbs, underground parking garages, and all entrances to buildings.
Remove trash by emptying trash containers and transporting materials to the disposal area.
Trim and prune trees and shrubs.
Maintain asafe working environmentby complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Perform light maintenance/work orders, including painting inside and outside of the community.
Conduct snow removal, including shoveling, operating a snow blower, salting sidewalks and entrances, and cleaning snow from vehicles.
Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Familiarity with basic tools and grounds-keeping equipment.
Janitorial or landscaping background is helpful.
