Seton Residence is the home to 65 retired Catholic Sisters, located on the West Side of Evansville just down the road from the University of Southern Indiana. We provide three levels of nursing care – independent, assisted, and skilled. SUMMARY OF POSITION
High school graduate or the equivalent is required. Some additional courses in horticulture and/or agriculture is preferred.
Valid Indiana Driver’s License.
Two years of lawn care, landscaping, tree and shrub care experience is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be able to endure at least eight hours continuous work requiring physical demands including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling and lifting.
Must be able to work outdoors at least 80% of an eight-hour work day, as weather permits.
Must know how to operate and care for equipment, know how to measure insecticides and fertilizing solutions, and be alert to hazards.
All job duties are expected to be completed in accordance with the mission and values of the Daughters of Charity.
Summary of Duties:
Provides complete lawn care service for a large intricately landscaped area. Mows and trims grass. Plants, trims, and maintains flowers beds, shrubs, and trees. Performs routine maintenance and minor adjustments to vehicles and equipment.
