Established in 1841, the 467-acre Albany Rural Cemetery is one of the most historic and active cemeteries in Upstate New York. The cemetery offers burial and cremation services throughout the Capital Region, as well as tours, lectures, and other events.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Groundskeeper located in Albany, NY. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and care of the cemetery grounds, including landscaping, mowing, planting, and general upkeep.
Qualifications
Experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance
Knowledge of plant care and horticulture
Ability to operate landscaping equipment
Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
Team player with good communication skills
Experience in cemetery or similar environment is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
