Wage Rate: $21.89/hr, 35/hrs/wk, plus benefits
The Shaw Festival is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Crewperson. This position will perform a variety of grounds maintenance duties, both routine and unique, including clean-up duties inside and outside the facilities and on all grounds/properties to aid in presenting The Shaw as professionally as possible.
Duties include grass cutting and trimming, cleaning patios/parking lot and public areas of leaves and debris, pond skimming, watering, lawn seeding/sodding as required, weeding, basic planting/trimming/pruning, removing garbage and performing other duties as assigned to ensure patron safety and enjoyment.
Preference will be given to candidates with relevant background in gardening/groundskeeping.
Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, patience and respect in the workplace is a must.
Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and also as part of a team. Must be able to exercise physical effort in lifting heavy items and equipment (up to 50lbs), and be comfortable working outdoors.
Some work on weekends may be required.
