Perseus Mining (Tanzania) Limited(SMLC) is seekinga Graduate Metallurgist.
As the Graduate Metallurgist, you will work closely with the metallurgical team to monitor,test, and optimise processing circuits, contributing directly to the success of plant operations and production
targets.
Position Responsibilities:
Management of Health, Safety,Environment, & Community Relations
- Adhere to company policiesand procedures regarding health, safety, environment, health and community.
- Champion a zero-harm safetyculture within all processing operations.
- Ensure processing facilities and practicesmeet all environmental obligations.
- Participate in incident investigations related to processing operations and make sure learnings are captured and transformed into actions.
- Ensure all metallurgical activities comply with safetyand environmental regulations.
Leadership & PeopleManagement
- Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to metallurgical technicians and laboratory team.
- Foster a high-performance culturebuilt on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Promote positiveemployee relations and ensure compliance with workplace policies,codes of conduct, and industrial relations frameworks.
- Encourage workforce engagement through clear communication of goals, expectations, and performance outcomes.
- Uphold a culture of process optimization and continuous improvement within the metallurgical team.
- Collaborate acrossfunctions without losingsight of processing priorities.
- Provide trainingand guidance to operations staff on safe and effectivemetallurgical practices.
Operations
- Assure that metallurgical data is properly interpreted and translated into actionable improvements on the plant floor.
- Provide high-level monitoring of plant performance, identifying trends,opportunities and areas for optimisation.
- Monitor and perform routinetesting on mineralprocessing circuits to ensure optimalperformance.
- Collaborate closelywith Processing Superintendent, Maintenance, and TechnicalServices to align metallurgical performance with production targets.
- Monitor key metallurgical KPIs and implementcorrective actions where performance deviatesfrom plan.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of process improvements that deliver measurable gains in throughput, recovery, and cost efficiency.
- Provide technicalexpertise and supportto the operations team.

Qualifications and Licences:
- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, MineralsProcessing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong technicalfoundation in mineralprocessing.

- Prepared to undertake externaltraining to complement the operation.
- Incumbent may be expectedto work outside Normal WorkingHours on occasions.
- Incumbent will from time to time be requiredto travel on company business.
