Microhaem Scientifics & Medical Supplies Limited is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead quality-control operations within a regulated diagnostic and medical-device manufacturing environment.
Position Details
* Duty Station: Uganda
* Recruitment: Global
* Department: Quality Management Systems (QMS)
* Reports to: QMS Director

This is a strategic leadership role focused on strengthening world-class diagnostic manufacturing and quality systems in Africa. The successful candidate will oversee QC systems across laboratory operations, analytical testing, product release, stability programmes, method transfer, validation, supplier quality and regulatory compliance.
Key Areas of Expertise
* Medical-device and IVD quality control
* Laboratory management and analytical testing
* Release testing and stability programmes
* Analytical method validation, verification and transfer
* ISO 13485 and ISO 17025 quality systems
* WHO and other stringent regulatory-authority requirements
* CAPA, root-cause analysis and non-conformity management
* Supplier qualification and supplier-quality management
* Statistical process control and quality-performance monitoring
* Laboratory equipment qualification and calibration
* Management of external laboratories and Contract Development Organizations
* Regulatory submissions and audit readiness
* Continuous quality improvement
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
* Master’s degree in biomedical science or a related field
* At least 7 years of medical-device quality-control experience, including substantial hands-on laboratory experience
* Experience working within ISO 17025- and ISO 13485-aligned quality systems
* Experience supporting WHO or global medical-device regulatory submissions
* Strong knowledge of medical-device development, evaluation, analytical methods and data integrity
* Proven leadership capability and experience building high-performing scientific and QC teams
Experience gained in leading global IVD, diagnostics, will be highly regarded.
