Position Summary
Performs general maintenance to augment the full‑time workforce.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- General maintenance of grounds and facilities, including grass cutting, janitorial work, litter removal, and construction projects.
- Operates hand and small power tools.
- Operates various maintenance equipment (large mowing machines, weed whackers, etc.) over rough roads and uneven terrain.
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and buildings.
- Operates large mowing machines and various trucks.
- Provides leadership or direction to the maintenance force in the absence of a Leadman.
- Completes small jobs in related qualified trades area.
- Directs and assists in repairs, alterations, additions, and related work as required.
- May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well‑established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job.
Qualifications Required
- High school education or higher education required.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License if operating a vehicle.
- Ability to work outdoors for prolonged periods in various adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Ability to complete written reports.
