Job Description:

Responsabilidades y funciones principales:

• Provide comprehensive medical care to small animals (primarily dogs and cats).

• Perform routine surgical procedures.

• Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of medical cases.

• Handle emergency cases within the hospital as required.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams.

• Maintain high ethical standards and animal welfare practices.

• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.

Knowledge:

• Small animal internal medicine.

• Routine surgical procedures.

• Emergency veterinary protocols.

• Clinical case management in high-volume settings.

• Veterinary diagnostic tools and advanced medical equipment.

• Regulatory and professional compliance standards.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of proven experience in small animal practice.

• Experience in high-volume veterinary hospitals or clinics (preferred).

• Demonstrated surgical competency in routine procedures.

• Experience working within collaborative medical teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of high-quality veterinary care.

• Adhere to hospital clinical protocols and state regulations.

• Support operational efficiency within the hospital.

• Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and emergency coverage when required.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.

• Valid veterinary license to practice in New Jersey (or eligibility to obtain one).

• Full-time on-site availability.

• Flexibility for weekend or rotating schedules.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ethical commitment and dedication to animal welfare.

Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
