Badisa Communications, an established integrated marketing and communications agency, is seeking a commercially driven and experienced General Manager to lead the company’s operations, people, client service and business growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to transform strategy into measurable results, strengthen operational discipline and position Badisa for its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and day-to-day management of the agency.
- Translate the company’s strategy into annual plans, departmental targets and measurable results.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability and achievement of monthly financial targets.
- Lead client retention, service excellence and senior-level client relationships.
- Manage departmental performance across Client Service, Creative, Marketing, Digital, Production, Finance and Administration.
- Ensure projects are properly planned, costed, resourced and delivered on time and within budget.
- Strengthen operational systems, workflows, accountability and quality control.
- Lead, coach and hold managers and employees accountable through clear KPIs and regular performance reviews.
- Oversee budgets, cash-flow performance, cost control, invoicing and collections in collaboration with Finance.
- Support new-business development, pitches, proposals and strategic partnerships.
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly performance reports to the Managing Director.
- Promote a high-performance culture aligned with Badisa’s values.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Commerce or a related discipline. A postgraduate business qualification will be an advantage.
- At least 8 years’ relevant management experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.
- Proven experience managing a marketing, advertising, communications, media or professional-services business is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth, operational management, client retention and team leadership.
- Strong commercial, financial and project-management capability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment.
- Competence in business systems, project-management platforms and financial reporting.
- A valid driver’s licence.
