Responsibilities Planting & Maintenance:
Planting flowers, shrubs, trees,Pruning, trimming, and deadheading plants to encourage healthy growth.
Ensuring that all plants are adequately watered, fertilized, and protected from pests.
Mulching and weeding garden beds to prevent weed growth and maintain plant health. Landscape Design & Planning:
Assisting with the design and layout of gardens and outdoor spaces.
Selecting appropriate plants based on soil conditions, climate, and aesthetic preferences.
Creating seasonal planting schemes to ensure year-round color and interest. Lawn Care:
Mowing, edging, and aerating lawns to maintain healthy grass growth.
Fertilizing and applying soil treatments as necessary to ensure optimal lawn health.
Repairing and reseeding areas of lawn as required. Pest & Disease Management:
Identifying signs of plant diseases, pests, or nutritional deficiencies.
Applying pesticides, fungicides, and herbicides in an environmentally responsible manner.
Advising on natural methods of pest control and promoting organic gardening practices. Garden Tools & Equipment:
Using and maintaining garden tools such as rakes, hoes, shears, and lawnmowers.
Ensuring that all
tools and equipment
are clean, safe, and in working order.
Operating larger machinery like leaf blowers, tillers, and tractors as necessary. General Garden Upkeep:
Maintaining clean and organized garden areas, including paths, driveways, and outdoor structures (e.g., patios, pergolas).Removing debris and leaves to prevent clutter and maintain aesthetic appeal.
Installing irrigation systems or ensuring that existing systems are working properly. Seasonal Preparation:
Preparing gardens for seasonal changes by protecting plants from frost or extreme heat.
Helping to prepare for seasonal changes, such as setting up greenhouses or winterizing outdoor spaces.
Storing tools and materials during off-seasons.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 5 years experience in Gulf or similar position.
