$25 – $30 (Hourly) Part Time Temporary Experienced (Non-Manager) High School
Boutique Brooklyn-based gardening company is seeking a skilled gardener for the 2024 fall season.
The gardener will be a part of a small maintenance team that cares for private and commercial gardens mostly in South Brooklyn.
The ideal candidate:
has experience in the field of gardening/landscaping; planting, weeding, etc.
is familiar with the basic tools of the gardening trade.
can identify common plants and trees in the urban landscape.
has pruning experience.
can identify and remove weeds from flower beds.
is able to lift and carry 50lbs.
has experience in other related trades (carpentry, electric, hardscaping irrigation, etc.)
is punctual and responsible.
has a clean driver’s license and can drive a cargo van.
lives in Brooklyn and is able to travel to the yard in Red Hook easily.
has a flexible schedule.
Position:
freelance to start (no benefits offered)
part-time, flexible schedule
must submit weekly invoices
paid weekly, subject to 1099 reporting
