Full-Time Veterinary Technician or Assistant Jobs in Chapin, SC at Chapin Veterinary Care Center
We are looking for a veterinary technician or assistant to join our team! This is a full-time position with a benefits package that includes health insurance and discounted veterinary care for the furry members of your family.
The position available is a nine hour shift from 9am to 6pm five days a week that includes a one hour lunch, and one Saturday (7:30am to 12pm) a month. We are not offering part-time positions at this time. Starting pay is commensurate with experience.
Located in the rapidly growing and family-friendly lakeside community of Chapin, our clinic is a busy small animal (cats and dogs only) veterinary practice that highly values our relationships with both clients and staff members. We currently have two full-time veterinarians on staff and several relief vets.

You will work the same consistent 8/9 hour schedule that you’re hired for every day without surprises! And of course, a love of animals is a must!
Applicants should have previous experience in the veterinary field as an assistant or technician, and at least a basic skillset that includes animal restraint, assisting in appointments, and venipuncture.

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, including anesthesia administration, IV access, and sample collection for laboratory testing.
- Restrain and handle animals safely, position patients, and monitor vital signs throughout procedures.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, instruments, and equipment; perform basic dental and routine imaging tasks as needed.
- Administer medications, assist with laboratory work, and care for hospitalized patients.
- Communicate clearly with team members and pet owners to ensure smooth, efficient patient care and safety.
