JOB OVERVIEW:
The veterinary technician provides gentle, compassionate patient care and positive client experiences for the benefit of cats, their owners, and the clinic. They perform basic exams, administer treatments and anesthesia, obtain diagnostic samples and images, interpret slides, perform dentistry, educate pet owners, and perform related services under the direction of the attending veterinarian.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Hands-on experience with all aspects of Veterinary Technician work described
- Fear-free cat handling or similar training preferred
- LVT licensure preferred
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Show affection and respect for cats and their people in all interactions
- Reliably attend shifts and complete job duties as assigned
- Work almost constantly in the presence of other staff members and clients
- Manage responsibilities concurrently
- Be adaptable in work habits
- Be comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Be able to lift and carry 50 lbs, climb ladders, bend, and squat
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38.0 per week
